Senior Signal SGM

Serves as the Brigade Command Sergeant Major for the Army's forward-deployed South West Asia Theater Signal Brigade providing operational and expeditionary (tactical and enhanced)communications capabilities to U.S. Army Central Command(USARCENT) and Combined Joint Forces U.S. Central Command(CENTCOM) AOR. Leads and directs the planning, resourcing and execution of operations, training, maintenance, personnel administration and logistics to sustain the operational, tactical voice and data networks in support of all things COVID-19, Operations FREEDOM'S SENTINEL, SPARTAN SHIELD and INHERENT RESOLVE.

Senior Enlisted Advisor to the commander of 2d Information Operations (IO) Battalion; trains and employs the U.S. Army Cyber Red teams in support to Combat Training Centers and exercises directed by Army Cyber Command enables Information Warfare as directed in and through cyberspace; responsible for managing cyber training and leader development in support of the Operational Army; responsible for managing Aggressors and Assessors operations assessments for Army units and Land Component Commanders; provides guidance to IO Vulnerability Assessment Teams, Close Access Team, Communications Security, Electronic Warfare, and the Computer Network Exploitation Section.

Senior Signal Sergeant Major in the 25th Infantry Division; trains, plans, develops, coordinates, directsand supervises the installation, operation and management of mission command telecommunications and information management for the Division Staff and five subordinate BDEs; provides technical advice and assistance to commanders and staff to include Senior Operations NCO functions; responsible for the health, welfare, morale and professional development of 73 Soldiers; has oversight of $10M in communication systems.

Battalion Operations Sergeant Major responsible for ensuring the safety, training, health and welfare of 40 Soldiers, 15 Civilians and 25 Contractors; responsible for the engineering, planning, coordination, information assurance of networks supporting U.S. and Coalition forces throughout the Afghanistan Combined Joint Operation (CJOA) that consist of 6 companies of Soldiers (65 per) 23 Theater Communications Facilities (TCF) for a 1,346 personnel forward0deployed Strategic Signal Battalion in direct support of U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM), U.S. Forces-Afghanistan (USFOR-A), ISAF, ISAF Joint Command, and NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan (NTM-A).

The signal support systems specialist supervises, installs, deploys, maintains, troubleshoots, trains, and assists the General Purpose User with Programs of Record and Commercial off the Shelf communications equipment, as appropriate, within the Tactical Operations Center (TOC), Command Post (CP), and vehicle platforms. This includes information systems support and Army Battle Command System (BCS) (e.g., Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Maneuver Control System (MCS), Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below Joint Capabilities Release(FBCB2 JCR), Blue Force Tracker (BFT), etc.); Communications and Electronic (C&E) equipment (e.g., Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS), Frequency Modulation (FM) systems, High Frequency (HF) systems, Tactical Satellite (TACSAT) systems, hand held and manpack systems, etc.); Communications Security (COMSEC) devices (e.g., Simple Key Loader (SKL), etc.); and telephone wire, Local Area Networks (LAN) and Routers. Performs field level unit maintenance on authorized Communications systems and COMSEC devices and prepares maintenance and supply requests for field level signal support. Disseminates and enforces signal policies and integrates signal systems and networks with adjacent units. Installs, Operates, and Maintains Radio Retransmission (RETRANS) operations and performs Preventive maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles and power generators.[
