Sacramento, California Area

Interviewed, gathered, and input information for Title 2-Disability recipients as part of Medical Continuing Disability Review (CDR) process. Assisted clients with claims, including educating general public on SSA.gov online services such as “MySSA”. As a result of work with public increased “MySSA” enrollment for office to the highest in the region.

Zambia

Stationed in a rural village in northern Zambia teaching sustainable methods of fish farming to local farmers, working in conjunction with the Zambian Department of Fisheries. Oversaw building of 20 earthen fish ponds in addition to maintenance and management of over 60 existing ponds. Established and oversaw management of fish farming co-operative, totaling over 30 members, including implementation and interpretation of by-laws and regulations as well as small-scale marketing and business strategies. Completed secondary project to enhance HIV/AIDS and Malaria awareness in the area through education, including condom demonstrations/distributions and sensitization projects. Distributed over 2,000 condoms and held two World AIDS day events.
