I am a focused individual who has had an exciting career across varied sectors including marine and have proved myself adaptable to whatever challenge has been presented to me. In order to continue to over achieve in the various roles that I have had, I have needed to be self motivated and focused to bring out the best in myself and others. Whilst working within the sales arena I have been a consistent top achiever surpassing targets. A superb opportunity to sail in many locations around the world within the yachting industry was taken, enabling new skills to be gained which have proven to be effective and beneficial within the professional community.I have been lucky enough to be very involved with the pioneering work that Sustainable Marine Energy has been undertaking within the tidal energy sector, a pioneering renewable energy company.Experienced in the leadership of challenging Research & Development projects in the capacity of Project Manager, it has required me to be able to oversee all elements of delivery including technical and financial planning, delivery and reporting. This has included the overseeing of cashflow and funding from external parties including government grants. Attention to detail and flexibility to deliver projects are core skills which have been developed, whilst ensuring that the ability to clearly communicate and articulate information to non-engineering stakeholders has been essential. My experience which has required a robust and broad section of skills to be nurtured means that I am adaptable and can offer value across a number of disciplines.
