As a software engineer at MileCatcher, Inc., I develop iOS and Android apps that help users track their mileage and expenses for tax purposes. I use React Native, Node.js, Firebase, and Google Cloud Platform to create user-friendly and secure features that enhance the app's functionality and performance. I also collaborate with other developers and product managers to troubleshoot issues, optimize code, and implement feedback.I have a bachelor's degree in computer science from The Evergreen State College, where I learned various programming languages, such as Python, Java, C#, and C, as well as digital logic, data structures, algorithms, and web development. During my studies, I also worked as a part-time full stack developer for the Edurange Project, a web-based platform that provides cybersecurity education and training to students and instructors. I contributed to the frontend development of the platform using ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. Additionally, I volunteered as a firefighter and EMT for the Southeast Thurston Fire Authority, where I applied my skills and knowledge to help save lives and property in emergency situations. Technology and helping others are my passions, and I aspire to pursue a career where they come together.
