Sector Manager, Drinks, Bord Bia - The Irish Food Board

• In this role, I acted as the secretariat of the FDI Public Affairs Group, Irish Bread Bakers Association, the FDI HR Forum, the Irish Breakfast Cereal Association and the Chocolate and Confectionery Association of Ireland. • I organised materials for and presented at quarterly and ad-hoc meetings of these associations/committees as well as managing specific association projects such as creating documents on the key public affairs issues facing the PCF sector, managing the IBBA PR Campaign and producing FDI’s quarterly business monitor. • In this role, I developed relationships with members, regularly answering queries directly, as well as external relationships with document designers and campaign partners. • I developed vast knowledge of specific issues in a range of sectors of the food and drink industry and developed association position papers for submission in stakeholder consultations at EU level as well as representing Irish product associations at meetings of wider EU organisations.

• In this role, I regularly create presentations on the Seafood Sector and Key Export markets for internal/external stakeholders. This involves the compiling and dissemination of trade statistics as well as presenting Bord Bia’s services for client companies. • I manage the Seafood team’s relationships with external agencies to design marketing collateral such as Exhibitors Brochures for Tradeshows. • I also manage our trade fair projects as well as organise itineraries for inward Buyer and Journalist Visits to showcase the best of Irish Seafood.

I managed the implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management system for the Food and Beverage department of Bord Bia.This role involved cross departmental work with our IT team and the different sectors within Food and Beverage to build Salesforce accounts which captured the vital information about our clients for reporting, communications etc. This project also included integrating this new Salesforce system with our online platforms to allow seamless transfer of data between them.

• I worked as a Statutory Executive in JMDL Corporate Consultants and my duties included the legalisation of documents for use in export markets and using the Companies Registrations Office Core system to file changes for client companies. I also undertook secretariat work for both JMDL and its clients companies including meeting minutes, AGM notices & minutes, as well as managing client’s AML documentation.

I have recently completed the IBEC global graduate program. As part of the programme, I studied for a postgraduate diploma in Global Business Leadership and worked on a 18 month placement with Bord Bia in the Food/Beverage team.

• During my time with Bord Bia, I played a key role in a number of projects across sectors and departments. I inputted into the Brexit Barometer project which culminated in a detailed analysis of the effect of Brexit on the Irish food and drink sector. I developed my organisation skills co-ordinating the collection of data from clients and helped to analyse this data with our project partners.• I co-ordinated the food and beverage department’s organisation of Bord Bia’s flagship event Marketplace International 2018 in which we brought over 550 buyers from 50 countries to meet 186 Irish food and drink suppliers. Each company and buyer had their own bespoke meeting schedule which I managed as well as creating marketing material such as online company profiles for the event. • I played a key role in the creation of the www.irishfoodanddrink.com and delivered on collecting, uploading and editing the data which is hosted on the site as well as inputting into the design and functionality of the website. • I have promoted Irish Dairy through the organisation of and attendance at trade shows such as Mondial Du Fromage and Cheese 2017. I tracked a key budget for the Dairy department and have gained experience in creating and managing budgets for other events.

• During my undergraduate course, I undertook an internship with Allianz Insurance as part of the motor broker team. In my role I worked as a phone agent dealing with queries from brokers about mutual customers and their policies.

I worked as a shop assistant during the school book season. I gained experience in dealing with customers and managing stock.
