As President of SEEK, I oversaw the operation of a mental health helpline that serves nearly 20,000 students at my University. As President I: - Taught counseling skills (taking Motivational Interviewing and client-centered approach) to Interns at the helpline in collaboration with the University Counseling Center - Transitioned the Helpine into our new name (SEEK: support, empathy, empowerment, kindness) and designed a new logo for the organization in collaboration with the Binghamton Student Design Agency in order to help students understand the service more clearly.- Ran weekly one-hour meetings where call handlers debriefed calls, discussed updates on the helpline, and talked about mental health on campus. - created marketing campaigns to promote SEEK across campus including designing merchandise, speaking at various events, and creating marketing materials such as posters.
