I worked as a family based therapist since I graduated from UPenn in 2016. In my time in that position I was selected as the case study for an audit which was successful, I joined the peer review committee and started a committee with the purpose of expanding the company's knowledge of topics such as racial injustice. Prior to my time with Child Guidance I interned for a variety of different organizations: Project HOME's SSVF program (supportive services for veteran families), CSOSA in Washington D.C., the victim witness assistance program in Spotsylvania, Virginia, the School Based Program for Child Guidance in Havertown, PA, and CREATE (Group Therapy for children on the Autism Spectrum) at Child Guidance in Havertown, PA.As a hobby and a passion, I creating manga/anime style art and creating comics/manga. I have completely finished 1 short comic, am currently working on a new short comic and am on hiatus from a Webtoon series called Steam. My goal is to create comics that help children process and work through their trauma in everyday life. In particular I would like to create comics about the internal struggle that comes with being mixed race. The program I use to draw on is Clip Studio Paint. I will practice for about 3 hours per day after work with that number increasing as my I get settled into my role as a supervisor.
