Neon Zealot Babylon is a farming game I have been working on for ~9 months. I utilize the Unity Engine and C#. I started with a basic prototype, created a functional MVP with gameplay, a tutorial, progression, a save system, art, music/sound, and then published it on itch.io. The core gameplay loop revolves around purchasing seeds, planting and growing them to maturity, and either selling them for additional funds, or selectively breeding them for better traits. I also created an upgrade system to enhance your station, and quests which require more effort but have a bigger pay off. This game implements object-oriented programming, map generation and pathfinding algorithms, and mobile development techniques. I also created my own art and sounds for the game. In this course (Software Engineering) I lead an eleven-student team in a class competition to apply Agile development methodologies and software design patterns in Java to create (1) an online alcohol label submission form for manufacturers, (2) a form processing workflow application for US Treasury agents in the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax & Trade Bureau (TTB), and (3) an alcohol beverage search engine for the general public. As lead software engineer, I was the technical leader of the team, and designed user accounts, search algorithms, and various UIs, as well as working on most other aspects of the application. The application implemented Levenshtein, SQL search, and a custom algorithm, and the final SQLite database held upwards of 50,000 beverages. I also managed sub-teams with the assistant leads to ensure the team worked effectively and the team was accountable for their assigned tasks.
