As the Chair of the Construction Law Group and former Managing Partner of Connell Foley LLP, I regularly represent property owners, developers, contractors and vendors in all aspects of the real estate development and construction business. With 30+ years of hands-on experience in this industry, I help my clients identify and take advantage of opportunities, as well as confront complex business challenges. My experience ranges from large scale development to the resolution of real estate and construction disputes by way of negotiation, arbitration, or trial.While the bulk of my practice is based in New Jersey and New York, I also represent clients on projects across the United States and internationally. Locally, I have advised on casino projects in Atlantic City, office buildings in Newark, corporate headquarters in Princeton, and large residential and redevelopment projects along the Hudson River and in New York City. I have also represented clients in connection with office buildings in Chicago, a large power plant project in Louisiana, and power plants in India and China. In addition, I represent a private equity fund that purchases, develops, leases and sells large industrial tracts in the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest.From 2010-2015, I served as Connell Foley’s Managing Partner. During this time I maintained my active real estate and construction practice while overseeing and guiding the firm’s strategic growth goals. I am proud to have grown the firm by 25 percent and to have opened new offices in New York, Newark and Jersey City during my tenure as Managing Partner and.
