In some ways, this conflicts with customer first agile development. I also believe that customers rarely know exactly what they want and what they think they want isn't necessarily what they need. An iterative design and development approach is essential to rapid development that is required in today's world. My philosophy is to do quick proof of concepts, get feedback, and then build something that will be scalable and maintainable.
