Group Insurance Account Manager

Manage Middle Market Group Life, Accident and Disability Insurance Book of Business with just over $20M in annual premium. Maintain persistency and financial responsibility for approximately 90 clients while meeting annual goals for retention, growth and renewal rate action. Develop and maintain customer and broker relationships while acting as the subject expert and best practice consultant.

Manage and service all aspects of approximately 800 group Business Travel Accident accounts. Analyze policies to determine appropriate action for renewal based on account profitability and plan design, identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities, establish and maintain automated renewal system.

Effectively manage on-going contacts and service for an account block of approximately 600 group life and disability insurance policies. Sole accountability for new business issue and delivery process, including data collection and integrity, quality of deliverables and process cycle times. Coordinate all service activities. Partner with internal partners on development of initial and ongoing customer specific strategies.

Coordinated the production of the monthly newsletter. Directly support volunteer committee by scheduling meetings and preparing pre and post meeting materials, research, write and edit news letter articles, maintain journal article database, and coordinate transfer o publications information and abstracts/articles to HIMSS Web site. Respond to all inquiries for publications information. Maintain archives.

Responsible for directing all incoming calls; providing customer service for society members; assisting departmental managers with special projects including scheduling meetings and personal correspondence, as requested; update and maintain the membership database; work with building maintenance and management to insure tenant satisfaction, maintain office equipment, order/reconcile supply orders, process societal publication requests, prepare/check all Airmail/UPS/US Mail. Coordinated the Registration Help Desk for approximately 17,000 attendees of multiple society sponsored annual conferences. Including coordination and management for the resolution of problems between attendees and registration/travel vendors. Management of the on-site conference office, assisted the conference manager in daily operations, which included working closely with conference center management, decorating management, shipping vendors, on-site technical services and union representatives
