My strong work ethic is by far the most important attribute I offer. Working in the service industry I have found that there is no more effective management tool than leading by example. This has allowed me to require the same level of devotion to the customer that I demand of myself. A varied background has served me well. I enjoy expanding my skills, including general hands on knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and computer hardware. This has allowed me to control costs and expedite crisis management beyond the expectations of my superiors. My key management principals are to live the goal and keep it as simple as possible. In my career so far the goal has always been to have happy customers, this leads to everything else falling in place including sales volume and a satisfied workforce. When dealing directly with the general public it is important to have simple effective systems in place in order to deal with an otherwise unpredictable environment. That way when the crisis does occur it is less common and I can step in and make it right. Grace under pressure is a skill that only time has been able to provide me. My tenure has given me a background to draw on when the new unexpected occurrence happens. Working with corporations I have found that it is vital to operate as if the business were my own. This perspective drives home the goals that I share with the company. After all, the point is to make money and grow the business. I have been blessed in that I have been able to do that while making people happy. I operate successfully in environments that allow open, honest, ethical, interaction. This is how I work and it has served me well. The respect and trust gained far outweighs the lost opportunities for short term gain. Most Importantly I love new challenges and information. The more I learn about systems and environments the easier it seems, yet it is the differences that are most exciting. There are always ways to improve or adapt.
