I have spent the last 10 years in education and coaching. Bringing my excitement and knowledge of science and running into the classroom and track. I have taught high school biology, physics and environmental science and coach cross country, track and soccer. Educations and Coaching have brought out what I think I am best at- seeing the potential in people. As a high school coach and teacher I get to see the growth of students over years and see them mature and change in the best ways possible. Helping kids set goals, learn something new and find their path in life has been the most rewarding and fulfilling work. I truly enjoy seeing kids through the entire process and execution of setting a goal, making progress towards their goals, helping them on set backs and finally seeing them excel and achieve their goals. I enjoy working with my team of coaches and other colleagues to help develop programs and curriculum to see students through the transition from students to young adults. As a teacher and coach I have:- Implemented science back practices to help students of different ages and educational backgrounds master standards in biology, physics and environmental science.- Created and set a culture, both in the class and on the team, of high expectations and learning. - Designed, organized and lead the creation of an entire new class (academic and AP) in Environmental science.- Provided mentorship for young men and women.- Leveraged and Implemented technology to best support students.I am most excited when working with a team to help other achieve their goals and trying new things.
