Over the summers from high school through college, I would help work and manage the fields at Beet Generation Farm: planting, tilling, weeding, harvesting, breaking the fields down at the end of the season, and working the booth at the farmer's markets. Farming undoubtedly taught me the importance of hard work and gave me the ability to push through non-desirable working situations in order to yield results. I attribute much of my work ethic to the years spent doing physically demanding work on this farm.
