My early years working in the garment district of New York City shaped my career in textile manufacturing and expanded my knowledge of luxury fabrics. I later went on to work for Cowtan & Tout in New York City’s famous D & D building. Working for this Iconic fabric house I continued to grow as a designer. I moved from Manhattan to Connecticut more than 10 years ago. I worked for myself as an Interior Designer for many years here in Connecticut. Working on my own gave me the opportunity to learn how to manage many different types of projects. This time also allowed me to work with a wonderful and diverse group of clients. This experience really helped me to learn how to listen to a client and respond to their needs. I am now working as a Design Consultant for Ethan Allen in Canton Connecticut. This is my second time working for this brand. I truly believe as a designer in the quality and timeless style of their furniture. So when I was asked to return it was an easy decision to make. My philosophy on Design is simple..”function before design”. Who lives in this room? What is the function of the space? Only then can we make it a beautiful space. I work closely with my clients listening to their needs wants and desires for their spaces. I want the rooms I design to be rooms my clients truly enjoy and love to spend time in.
