About Michael Nelson
I have had a International Coaching Career for 14 years. I achieved early coaching success, coaching Beach Volleyball at 2X Olympic Games by 30 years of age.I have coached teams around the World as part of the FIVB World Tour. The Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympic Games were highlights of my coaching career. 12 Individual Olympic athletes, both males and females have developed their craft while being closely mentored under my coaching.I developed athletes and coaches for SASI as their Head Volleyball Coach for 8 years. During this time I honed my ability to develop and influence other coaches Nationally. I have highly developed skills in High Performance Coaching, people development and culture creation in a sporting context.During 2021 I started work as a Coach Developer, helping sports coaches improve at their craft. I am currently developing Coaches as the AIS Coach Development Lead - SASI.Following my Undergraduate degree, I completed a post graduate certificate in Sports Coaching.
