In school, I learnt the enormous potential art has to change the course of society. I have since been on a quest to seek - or spark - the invigorating process of purpose-driven creation, anywhere I go. Purpose-driven creation is my personal approach to creative work that goes beyond numbers and data, and is rooted first in people, values, and culture. This approach is shaped by my cross-sector expertise - I've held strategic and leadership roles in multi-national journalism, media and tech organisations, and have acquired learnings through running my own start-up. I currently serve as Micro-Content Lead in OGS/UNFOLD Asia, and work with a team of creatives to bring a diversity of content offerings (video, photo, illustration) to millions of captive SEA audiences. Our iconic brand of journalism covers the full spectrum of the human condition, from light-hearted thought starters to hard-hitting social realities. I also run Elevate the Streets (ETS), a NYC Youth Corps affiliated initiative that re-envisions street artists as community partners through values-oriented creative programmes. To date, we've impacted over a thousand youths in schools and social services, and have been featured in The Straits Times, City of Good, Youthopia, and ELLE.In my downtime, I escape into the world of dance, music, and badminton. I'm not great at either of these things, and I prefer to tell people it is a matter of personal choice.
