Leading the Work Methods team responsible for serving ENMAX Power's Field Services business by finding better ways to perform work. This role sees me leading a multi-disciplinary group (Powerline Technicians, Power System Electricians, and Utility Workers) of four individuals to partner across the ENMAX Power organization to address opportunities while also working proactively to develop and implement best practices in the Utility industry.I also play a leading role in implementing Human and Organizational Performance across the ENMAX Power organization. This includes strategy development, communication planning, change management, and training delivery as we endeavour to not only do safety differently but also embrace the principles organization-wide in our desire for operational excellence.Between November 2021 and August 2023, I also had the opportunity to lead ENMAX Power’s Apprentice Development program, focusing on helping set up our apprentices to succeed during their apprenticeship and throughout their careers. Working with the wider Field Human Performance team, we were, and continue to be, focused on building a best-in-class program.

ENMAX Power's High-Risk Task (HRT) program is part of our larger strategy around implementing Human & Organizational Performance principles within the Field Services organization. It focuses on empowering the experts in performing the work, our frontline workers, to highlight tasks that, when an error occurs, could be life-threatening, life-altering, or life-ending. Then it utilizes their knowledge and a cross-functional approach to identify and implement additional capacity to fail safely via Learning Teams.In this role, I'm responsible for developing the overarching strategy for the HRT program, from establishing precise terminology for the various facets of the program to building processes that ensure High-Risk Tasks are addressed promptly and determining the appropriate technology to leverage in service of the program.

Led a multi-disciplinary team (Powerline Technicians, Power System Electricians, Utility Workers, Mobile Boom Truck Operators, and Technical Writers) as we focused on maintaining and updating an extensive suite of modules, SWPs/SOPs, and other assorted technical documents in addition to striving to provide best-in-class technical training and work methods support.During my initial time in this role, I focused on ensuring data integrity for a large volume of training records and building out dashboards to provide greater visibility of training expiry status and allow the effective proactive management of training for our frontline workers.

Led a team of 35 through a step-change in the performance of ENMAX Power’s Civil Works team. This team was responsible for completing various civil construction projects in both the Distribution and Network systems of ENMAX’s service area. During this period, the team’s skillset grew immensely as we focused strategically on high-value, technically complex projects within Calgary’s downtown core and ensured reliable power supply by managing system failures across our Distribution system promptly alongside the Distribution Services team.One of my proudest accomplishments while leading this team was helping it realize its potential as we developed a culture focused on safety, performance, and agility.
