Hello,I am seeking a position in the Environmental field in California. I graduated with honors from Stuyvesant H.S. in N.Y. I earned my B.S.in Zoology and Psychology at University of Wisconsin-Madison. I was Research Assistant with the N.I.H. for 4 years. I was a Medical Research Specialist, a Conservation Corps Supervisor, and a Resource Assistant in endangered and exotic species management with the N.P.S.I earned my M.S. in Conservation Biology and Sustainable Development. I worked for TNC, and wrote award-winning scripts for EarthWatch Radio. My thesis was on Resources Management at the Golden Gate Biosphere Reserve (GGBR).As a Wildlife Biologist with the U.S.F.S. I led a team drafting a Sensitive Species Forest Plan Amendment. I built consensus for ecosystem management. I led an Understanding Ecosystems training.I returned to the GGBR and planned and funded a Bay-Delta Biodiversity Symposium. I joined a consulting firm, Prunuske Chatham, and did habitat restoration for 4 years.I have been Artistic Director of Live Oakes Educational Theater since 1994. I’ve created inspiring interpretive programs and trainings for State and National Parks, conferences, etc. I'm skilled at event and project management. I am proficient on PC and Mac. I've written grant proposals, ads, and e-blasts. I am a union actor, trained at ACT.I was President of Live Oakes, Inc., a real estate restoration firm, for 5 years. I negotiated million-dollar deals, supervised teams of 20, and did due diligence.As an Associate Environmental Planner with the Delta Stewardship Council, I led a team drafting a Delta Plan Energy Amendment. I recommended renewables and not fracking. I commented on environmental documents. I conducted site analyses, and wrote reports. I developed a GIS system, and managed a data base of activities impacting the Delta. I regulated state and local agencies. I oversaw General and Resource Management Plan Updates, MTP/RTPs, and NCCP/HCPs.As a State Park Interpreter at Candlestick Point State Recreation Area, I led programs with diverse communities, e.g., habitat restoration.As a Planner II with the SFPUC I reviewed projects impacting 2.6 million people. I consulted with counties, cities, and utilities. I ensured environmental compliance. I wrote policies on pesticides, soil pathogens, and cultural resources.I did citizen science with Solano Land Trust, and lobbied on climate change with Sierra Club.
