Michael Bundepuun Ode is an Orthopaedic, Trauma and Spine surgeon of global recognition. A passionate Orthopedic and Spine surgeon, academic, medical educator and administrator with a keen interest in teaching and research. Involved in the teaching and training of all cadres of health personnel; medical students, resident doctors, nurses, and specialist doctors for over eighteen years at the undergraduate and post graduate levels. An accomplished university and hospital administrator who has managed with commendation, departments and divisions, comprising a wide range of personnel in a cordial and highly motivated manner to achieve set institutional objectives. Involved in institutional review boards for training and service delivery at university and tertiary level health care facilities. The lead trainer for Nigeria and a master trainer for the World health organization (WHO) and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) developed Basic Emergency Care (BEC) course certified by the International Federation of Emergency Medicine (IFEM) settings. A course facilitator for the trauma management course conducted by the West African College of surgeons. A clinical researcher, who has presented and published research output in conferences and peer reviewed journals. A reviewer for multiple journals both locally and internationally. A passionate individual with organizational capacity, leadership abilities, critical thinking, empathy and effective communication skills.
