My role was off-shored in 2013 and I decided to take early retirement, however I have decided to ease myself back into the job market. I am currently looking for Temporary or Part Time Roles in the Bimingham area.I am an IT professional with 36 years experience. In this time I have worked in a number of roles, both technical and managerial.In the last 16 years I have spent 13 years as a Service Delivery Manager for major companies. In this time I have managed up to 5 teams with between 12 -90 people reporting to me. The user base supported has been between 4000- 9000 people. I currently manage Wintel,UNIX & VMware, and Data centre support teams spread across 4 customer sites and three large data centres housing 1600+ servers.The Service Delivery roles have all involved challenging SLA’s/KPI’s, and direct customer face off to stakeholdersI have ITIL foundation v3 accreditationI also have several years experience of Team lead & Project Management . In these roles I have managed Third Party Suppliers as well.All of these roles involved close interaction with internal teams as well as customers.The companies I have worked for in this time are all well known and have complex global IT operations. They are all highly respected and the contracts I worked on where in the Automotive sector.I have delivered large scale projects e.g. the Millenium project for MG Rover.More recently I have been involved in a Project to move 100+ servers to a new Data Centre.Also I have managed a team of Project Managers working on concurrent major technical rollouts.Having gone through three TUPE transfers in the last 5 years, I also have experience of Service Transition from different perspectives.I have a Project Management: Diploma from George Washington University, and also attended a Prince2 Foundation Project Management
