Founded the Excel to Excellence Foundation, Inc. in 2010 to address concern for undeserved children that were getting left behind in our society. My mission for the foundation is to deliver innovative programs and facilities to ensure that undeserved children have the proper educational opportunities, resources, and life experiences necessary to achieve their dreams and become productive citizens.Since 2010, we have provided a free football camp for children ages 10-18. During the camp, we stress the importance of education to both parents and children. The camps also provide a unique workshop for parents while the kids are on the field. The workshop provides information to parents on how they can help their student-athletes perform better in the classroom.In addition to the football camp, Excel to Excellence Foundation has a new academic program called Team Excel. This is a new and unique concept that uses a ‘reverse’ Fantasy Football format to motivate students to excel in the classroom. Students become the fantasy athletes, and professional athletes and community volunteers serve as team coaches. The students are then scored based on their grades, attendance and community services, while competing for prizes. We have garnered support from fellow NFL players Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch to serve as team coaches in his new Team Excel program. While the current pilot program takes place at Varina High School, the long-term vision for Team Excel is to expand the concept throughout the Richmond area and eventually across the United States.

Conceptualized and created a sports talk show which is “By Athletes, For Fans,” highlighting unprecedented locker room access. Responsible for the creative, hosting, editing and production of the show. The show provides exclusive content produced just for the fans, by taking the viewers for a behind the scenes look into the real, unfiltered world of sports and entertainment. The fans have a chance to see their players without the media bias or restrictions of large sports media outlets. I created the show as a media platform for athletes to be themselves and truly bridge the gap between the average athlete and fan. The show aims to give athletes a voice and opportunity to engage their fans in a two way conversation to improve the athlete-fan relationship.
