As of August 9, 2019, I will leave ECS Southeast and explore the benefits of retirement. My wife retired in June after a long career as a teacher, and the time is right for me to do the same. Jerry Vandevelde has been my longtime friend and partner and has done an excellent job managing our practice and guiding our successful transition to ECS. Jerry will help assure that we maintain the client service that I have endeavored to provide since for the last 35+ years. I also have great confidence in Liz Newcomb, Jeremy Hudson, Donnie Norton, Denise Vandevelde, and all the other engineers, project managers, technicians and administrative people in our office. I encourage you to consider and select ECS to address your geotechnical, environmental, construction testing/inspection, and facilities needs. While I’m looking forward to retirement, I’ll miss the challenge and satisfaction of working with the folks in our company and in helping others find solutions to geotechnical problems.

Mr. Ronayne is a Geotechnical Engineer with 30+ years of consulting experience in Kentucky, Indiana and surrounding states. He is well versed in the soil, bedrock and groundwater conditions that affect development in this area. He has special expertise in karst limestone terrain and in the lake bed, river deposited and glacial materials that can pose special construction problems in this region. His experience includes most geotechnical and construction aspects of commercial, manufacturing, educational, institutional, private and municipal building sites and other structures such as tanks, treatment plants, towers, dams and bridges. Mr. Ronayne is a graduate of St. Xavier High School, Center College and the University of Kentucky. He is a past member of the KY AGC Board of Directors.
