As a manager of inventory, my responsibilities include taking daily account of all “consumable” material and non-finished goods in three facilities at our Frackville campus which includes over 250,000 sq/ft. of floor space. I coordinate with production managers, material handlers and staff to ensure uninterrupted flow of material needed. Tasks include:-“Hard Count” inventory in three facilities three times per week.-Update and maintain accurate inventory spreadsheets on a daily basis . -Conduct end-of-the-month inventory and report findings to ownership.-Report directly to Director of Operations.-Coordinate with production supervisors, plant manager, shipping and receiving and lead material handlers about incoming/outgoing material and staging of those materials.

Through the use of multiple hiring platforms, partnerships and marketing strategies, I managed the hiring of over 100 new employees, doubling the capacity of the growing company. Collaborating with our Marketing and HR managers, I was responsible for recruiting new hires to departments including production, maintenance, facility maintenance, and management. Tasks included: -Creating and posting ads based on company needs, reviewing applications, selecting quality applicants, scheduling and conducting all interviews, ensuring accurately completed applications, scheduling drug screenings, coordinating with PA Career Link for eligible employees, and ensured a smooth onboarding process for new hires .-Created self-audit of recruitment to ensure the process was tight enough to ensure not losing potential candidates.-Maintained all spreadsheets all spreadsheets and navigated hiring platforms like Indeed and Zip Recruiter.-Initiated WOTC program for new hires who were military veterans.-Organized and scheduled trainings for employees including Human Resources, Shift Supervisors and Shift Leads.-Initiated reimbursement of all employee training through the WedNet program; netted a savings of $19,000 in training costs.

As shift lead, I managed a weekly daytime shift of approximately 15-20 employees. Tasks included: -Ensuring proper staffing is scheduled each week. -Collaborating between departments for smooth operation on the floor, assign all production workers to appropriate machines/tables on the floor, ensure all employees follow safety and best practice standards. -Communicating with Human Resources Manager in the event of employee absence/illness/disciplinary issues.-Completing all associated paperwork daily and ensure the smooth operation of the production floor each day.

We raise chemical-free veggies, flowers and herbs for our small CSA (30 families) and our restaurant partner Troegs Brewing in Hershey PA.
