After outgrowing our facilities on 13th Avenue in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn, we moved to a larger location on 50th Street, where we continued being the preferred fish store of customers who appreciated quality fish, for over twenty years. Forty-five years later with 5 retail locations and a booming wholesale business, Ossie’s is synonymous with the cleanest, freshest and highest quality seafood products. We only carry the highest quality fish, buying directly from fisheries and supporting companies that keep sustainable fishing practices. We educate our customers on how to check fish freshness and we offer cooking advice, recipes and cooking classes to make your fish meal a hit.Our goal is to supply our customers with the highest standards of quality, freshness and ease in their fish purchases, all while keeping to impeccable kashrus and health standards.My greatest accomplishments are sales growth, new product development and managing all employees of the company to ensure the highest customer service, increased sales and reduction in shrinkage.In addition to managing all employees of this multi million dollar company, I am responsible for purchasing, cost reduction, business development and marketing. I also assist on store layout and new location construction.KEY RESULTS:❖ Grew retail sales 150% over 5 years by introducing new products, marketing the value of our companies seafood over others and building a team with excellent customer service.❖ Grew wholesale sales 20% by training new sales staff and introducing new value added products.❖ Cut shrink by almost 25% in the companies retail locations, by aggressively motoring inventory and creating better purchasing and logistic systems.
