Geneva Advisors is an independent investment management firm with 98 employees and nearly $8 billion in AUM. As an extern, I analyzed sub-advisory agreements, prospectuses, internal written supervisory procedures, Form ADV, PPMs, solicitation agreements, and investment management agreements. I reviewed and edited marketing materials to comply with Sec. 206(4) of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 by analyzing the laws and interpreting and applying SEC No-Action Letters.

FINRA is a self-regulatory organization authorized by Congress to regulate brokerage firms and exchange markets within the securities industry; FINRA is dedicated to investor protection and market integrity. As a Legal Extern, I drafted Memorandums to FINRA’s Office of Disciplinary Affairs supporting proposed sanctions against FINRA-registered members and drafted settlement agreements (known as Acceptance, Waiver and Consent Agreements).

Researched and drafted various motions, pleadings, briefs and memorandums of law in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense and commercial litigation.Interviewed clients; obtained answers to complaints, interrogatories and production requests; assisted in voir dire.
