Currently serving as the Deputy Branch Chief for the Communication and Education Branch at the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (Immunization Services Division). Responsible for managing day to day branch operations related to administration, budget, travel, and training. My organization provides oversight of funding grants and cooperative agreements with national organizations and state immunization grantees; develops and provides immunization related educational materials (Childhood and Adolescent Immunization Schedules, Vaccine Information Statements, etc.) to health providers at all levels; and provides focused messaging and other immunization related communication deliverables to state/local health care providers.

Yongsan (Seoul), Korea

Deputy Chief of Public Affairs for Eighth Army in Seoul, Korea. Advised and assisted 3-star commander and his staff on all Public Affairs and communications related issues including Public Affairs planning, media relations, community relations, command information and strategic messaging. Developed and executed operational level public affairs plans related to daily communication activities and theater-level exercises to meet the needs of the command and it's senior leaders. Researched, developed and crafted responses to Korean, Asian and Western-based media queries in support of Eighth Army and United States Forces Korea objectives and communications strategies.

Served as the Chief of Public Affairs for First Army in support of mobilization, training, validation, and deployment of Reserve Component (RC) organizations. Served as principal public affairs adviser to 3-star level commander and as spokesman for the command. Responsible for media relations, community relations, command information and Public Affairs training support. Developed, coordinated and executed operational level public affairs plans. Responded to media queries from local, national, regional, and international media. Provided public affairs specific advice, training and guidance to U.S. Army Reserve, National Guard, and joint public affairs assets mobilizing within the Continental United States for employment in combat zones worldwide.

Public Affairs Plans Officer for a major Army Headquarters responsible for development of strategic communication themes and organizational messages to both internal and external Army audiences. Directly responsible for planning and implementing all Public Affairs training for mobilized National Guard and Reserve Component personnel supporting operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, GTMO, Horn of Africa, Kosovo, etc.

Deputy Director for Combined Press Information Center (CPIC) responsible for interaction and support for all international and Iraqi media. Responsible for planning, synchronization, and coordination of key leader media engagements, press conferences, and local?international media embed coverage of US operations in support of the Commander, Multi-National Forces-Iraq (MNF-I).

Executive Officer for the Army's only active duty Public Affairs Operations Center responsible planning, synchronization, coordination of all organization activities in preparation for organizational deployment to Iraq. Developed, implemented and maintained all organizational training support and managment systems, to include organizational funding and equipment maintenance and accountability.

Responsible for tracking, planning, sourcing and funding division and brigade-level training exercises at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Ft. Polk, La.

Lessons Learned Analyst for CALL responsible for collection and dissemination of pertinent trends, tactics, techniques and procedures utilized by successful Army organizations at the Combat Maneuver Training Center (CMTC) and Baghdad, Iraq (First Armored Division (2003-2004) back to Ft. Leavenworth, Ks for use and implementation by the total Army.
