• Developed deployment scripts for AWS with Terraform• Created scripts using Python. Including a single-run script to be run on client machines for troubleshooting purposes. I gathered information both on the machine/workstation that was having trouble and the network in between. This had to be able to be run on a variety of OS’s: Linux, Windows, and Mac primarily. • Gave advice on how to move from old-school, on-prem server systems to full containerized, “on the cloud”, systems. Including recommendations on software to use for containerization, reverse proxy, and aspects of implementing a full CI/CD pipeline.

• Built, maintained, and upgraded a multitude of secure web applications in Java, PHP, and Node.• Started the company on the move from using virtual machines to using Docker and Docker Swarm. This included developing Docker development work environments and a Swarm deployment for QA and Production. • Created a Node/Mongo application to monitor multiple factors of overall system to ensure rapid response to failures. This included not just testing company servers and web/api responses, but also the ability to query client servers for timely and correct responses. Application was constructed on a basis of a testing “drone” object that could add any module you created to it and it would autonomously continually run those module tests on a regular basis. The modules are constructed to be as generic as possible. Drones and modules get the needed specifics from the Mongo db. One of the modules included the ability to ssh into a server and run a test script. Then copy the results back to the test-server for storage. The alerting features were set up for email and text and also had the ability to send “system-recovered” messages.• Created a Node/Mongo application that worked in a Docker container that allowed multiple types of testing of json send functions. Loop-Back; Loop-Back with field change/update; Return stored response; Return of response from remote server. All actions being recorded in the Mongo Db.• Set up a Docker Image Server for the Docker images.• Set up a Sonatype server for a private NPM repository.

• Modified code that was created to handle a single group of a few hundred individuals to be able to handle over ten-thousand groups that handle thousands of individuals. In the process, greatly simplified and sped up the code.• Created a RESTful API system that worked across multiple systems, securely, cleanly, and efficiently. This included LAMP and .NET-MSSQL• Maintained and developed a PHP system to handle all aspects of company business. Including cross-over connections to use MS Sql and work with .Net modules. Ensured all data was secured and all HIPPA standards were adhered to.

• Was responsible for establishing, maintaining and updating the connection to our credit card companies. I reconfigured our gateway script to utilize classes that were built for specific processors in a “plug-and-play” fashion. Classes for processors were built along specific parameters to accept a standardized list of variables passed to every processor class, loaded into the directory that housed them, and then the name of the processor and class was loaded into the admin section. The specific processor could then be chosen and it would handle all needs from initial sale, recurring charges, new purchases, and refunds without having to add code to the primary gateway or shopping cart scripts. • From June '10 was responsible for maintaining company servers on AWS, including setting up new sites, new private-key access, ftp access, and bringing up new servers as needed. Basic DevOps responsibilities. After I left Linkstar, I was kept on as an “on-call” sysops for 5 years. This was periodic work to deal with updates on the AWS platform. The code that I left in place ran without issue for that time.
