As an HSE Field Advisor, I was responsible for providing advice and support in applying and maintaining the Senex Health Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS) and other systems required by the company along with relevant Acts Regulations and Codes of Practice to the appropriate field staff. My daily activities included:• Assist in ensuring that all Senex Energy employees, contractors and visitors had adequate skills and knowledge regarding the HSEMS, policies, procedures, and safe work systems.• Keep abreast of legislative requirements and best practice to give up-to-date advice and information to management, line supervisors, and employees to assist in Senex Energy activities' safe and responsible operation. • Promoting best occupational health and safety practices amongst management, line supervision and contracting personnel. • Ensure compliance at a site level with the requirements of the Senex Energy HSEMS. • Ensure contractors HSE performance is following their management systems and current with industry best practices. • Draft and review relevant HSEMS documents; including Risk Assessments, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), work instructions, and forms as required. • Conduct inspections and audits of Senex Energy field operations as required. • Conduct incident investigations, identify the root cause and contribute to the development of corrective actions. • Assist in the gathering and reporting of HSE data and statistics. • Assist with the maintenance of the Senex Energy Action Item Tracking Registers. • Provide HSE coaching & develop training packages as required. • Assist in distributing all relevant HSE related information.
