I have been in the potato processing industry since 1997, minus a couple of years break in Alberta. During the potato years, 12 were spent in all areas of the production plant from the warehouse to packaging. While here I gained a thorough knowledge of what goes into making frozen potato products. I also worked for a 2 years in the R & D department where I gained valuable knowledge of what goes into making and introducing new products to the marketplace. Since then I have been working in the QA department on the Food Safety side of that department. First as a Food Safety Coordinator, then HACCP Supervisor, Food Safety Specialist and most recently Food Safety Manager responsible for all aspects of our food safety and food defense programs.
