As the Director of Large Systems, I have several groups that report to me. Primarily, the z/OS system programmers which are responsible for z/OS, z/VM, CICS, DB2, IMS, z/OS Connect and a large number of other products. I have retained responsibility for the Technical Support group which covers mainframe and open system storage, The team is the core to our disaster recovery planning, design, and implementation. I am also the primary systems programmer supporting our iSeries environment.

I am responsible for the Technical Support team. This team covers a number of disciplines such as storage, backups, and disaster recovery for the Mainframe and Open Systems environments. Additionally, I have SAP Basis Administration covering the SAP implementations of Financials and HR. Finally, I also am the primary support technician for the iSeries environment.

I managed the Technical Support staff (mainframe systems programmers), data center operations, scheduling, and Integration management. While I was responsible for most aspects of the data center, including computing hardware, storage and tape, I was not responsible for phone or acquiring/maintaining servers. In addition to my managerial duties, I was the primary support technician for the iSeries platform. While a manager of the group, we implemented a number of operating system upgrade and product upgrades. I was also one of the core team members (5 in total) to define and implement SOX controls for the infrastructure and applications teams. In 2009, I was one of the core members of the team that moved our data center from Glenmont, NY to League City, TX. This was a project that ran for about a year and a half.

Primary responsible for the iSeries platform.Some z/OS work with third party products and primary support for networking requirements.

Worked with a number of Mainframe third party products on various releases of MVS/ESA and OS/390. Was the primary technician for the iSeries (AS/400) operating system. Worked with applications to deploy several new policy administration systems on the AS/400.

Work on the Life system which was assembler based running on IBM ESA 4.1 (Mainframe)Also supported a Unix and AS/400 environment which transitioned me onto the Technical support team.
