Personal efforts also included coordinating sampling and analysis efforts with IH teams on the ground in Haiti for sampling asbestos and other environmental contaminants as a result of the many collapsed structures throughout the country, as a direct result of the earthquake.  As collateral duty Safety and Occupational Health manager for the command, ensured that employees in need of reasonable accommodations were provided with necessary assistive technology/equipment and that any other support-based measures were taken in a timely and effective manner. Ensured any injuries were reported via correspondence with the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs and any injuries were annotated on appropriate CA forms and submitted.

Completed doctorate research and awarded Ph.D. in Environmental Health Science in 2010.
