Network Architect focusing on solving problems for large enterprises and service providers. Deployed routing and switching all over the world. Things I do or gear I've engineered: - Complex IP Routing with all the usual suspects - OSPF, BGP, ISIS - Layer-2 stuff. I hate STP though. - MPLS. LDP. RSVP. l2circuits, VPLS, l3vpn, yadda yadda yadda - Best Practices - Know when to do some things and not others based on experience and know-how - Deployed literally tons of Juniper MX and EX. Lots of SRX. - Cisco stuff. yeah everyone does this. It would take too long to list out all the Cisco stuff I've done. - Lots of stuff on Brocade MLX. Better upgrade to MR2 if you haven't already! - Peering - MMR/IDF/MDF design / site layout / cabling / Layer-1 - Routing policy. Yep its complicated. - IP Addressing. IPv6! - Vendor selection / requirements generation / evaluation - CGNAT. Don't like it but it is what it is. - Alcatel-Lucent gear. 7750 and 7950 are pretty nice boxes. - Decent at communications. Dealing with Layer-8, 9, and 10. - Lots of other stuff that most people will find boring.Specialties: Problem Solving, which includes Problem Identification which seems lost of lots of people.
