Was able to lead team to port ~20% of positions from higher cost locations to Tech centers in first two years in role resulting in significant cost savings while maintaining technical quality.

Oversaw and managed people strategy for most senior engineering talent pool for Upstream - maintaining health, diversity and inclusion of the pool. In addition, involved in all personnel moves in these areas and final approval for the most senior staffing moves.Short time in role due to reorganization to consolidate Engineering resources across Upstream, Refining,and Chemicals technical organizations into ExxonMobil Technology and Engineering Company (EMTEC)

ExxonMobil senior secondee into NCOC, a joint venture between 7 companies(including 4 International Oil Companies) which is the operator of the Kashagan oil field. Managed 500+ Operations staff (international secondees and local staff, as well as contractors) for 400+ KBD offshore production facilities and onshore gas and oil treating facilities. During time in role successfully managed a mega complexity Turnaround. Facility achieved greater than 99% reliability with strong safety performance. Served as interface with the NCOC and co-venture partners Technical, personnel/process safety, planning, etc functions on behalf of Operations. Lead for major strategic reorganization of the operations directorate affecting 300+ employees during time in role. Mentored many higher potential Kazakhs to be future leaders in NCOC.

Managed 30+ employees in two office locations (Malabo and Houston). Role is a combined Facilities, Programmatics, and Operations Superintendent. The department has responsibility for providing support to Operations and Maintenance teams supporting 3 offshore installations with significant Subsea equipment. Key Results:- Facilities Optimization and Maintenance – Lead cross functional group to progress various facilities and Subsea optimization and large scale maintenance projects to support Operations.- Main Partner and Government Technical Interface – Serve as main partner and government interface for facilities technical and integrity issues.

Managed 20+ employees (all Nationals) in two office locations (N’Djamena and Kome) in the Programmatics Engineering department. The department had responsibility for providing support to Operations and Maintenance teams, including leading major Maintenance tasks (turbine overhauls, full facility shutdowns, etc.), troubleshooting support for facilities issues, developing and optimizing maintenance tasks for all facilities optimization. Key Results:- Optimized Preventative Maintenance – Led cross functional group to optimize maintenance plans for large producing facility with ~100 kbd production. Led many initiatives to increase maintenance intervals to eliminate 500+ hours of work per year. Also team led multiple turbine overhauls to minimize outage duration and cost.

Provide day-to-day support to the Asia Pacific Regional Vice President. Responsible for strategic business analysis and recommendations to the Vice President to enable effective decision making. Interface with and provide guidance to the Asia Pacific production units. Key Results:- Asia Pacific regional annual business plan – Coordinate the compilation of the Asia Pacific regional annual business plan and manage ongoing stewardship throughout the year.

Acted as central contact for correspondence with ExxonMobil Headquarters (Dallas) for all Production company related activities. Flawlessly coordinated endorsement meetings for visiting Dallas Senior executives and Houston based senior leadership. Served as key Production Company interface for correspondence wth other Upstream companies, Gas and Power Marketing, Development, etc. Key Results:- Monthly CEO Briefing – Prepared monthly Production Company CEO briefing presentation material for ExxonMobil Production Company Executive Vice President.- Corporate Publications – Responsible for ExxonMobil Production Company input to the ExxonMobil corporate annual report, analyst meeting, and quarterly earnings calls.

Managed 18+ employees in two office locations (St. John’s and Halifax) in the Surveillance Engineering Operations Technical department. The department had responsibility for providing technical surveillance engineering support to the Sable and Hibernia onshore and offshore oil and gas operations including, troubleshooting facilities issues, facilities optimization, and opportunity generation. Key Results:- Employee development – Provided ongoing leadership and mentoring to junior staff and senior technical experts with oversight for longer term employee career development. - Co-venturer partner & regulator interface – Primary external interface for surface-related technical issues with regulators and and the Sable & Hibernia co-venturer partners.During this period, also had a special assignment as Hibernia Platform Operations Superintendent (March - September 2009) for a core ExxonMobil offshore oil & gas asset producing 150+ Kbd (gross). Led asset leadership team onshore and offshore with representatives from various functions. Served as lead representative for Hibernia facility with external regulator and co-venturers.Key Results:- Safety leadership – Managed 250+ persons on board (rotating operations drilling & maintenance staff) with drastic improvement in safety performance during time in role.- Asset level business plan – Led development of 2011 Hibernia asset level business plan.- Helicopter incident - Managed workforce through a difficult period immediately following an offshore helicopter crash. This included leadership to safely perform a large scale shutdown without conventional method of transporting personnel (helicopters). Also heavily involved along with senior management on resolution of labour relations and regulatory issues allowing for return to helicopter transportation.

One of two onsite engineers supporting ExxonMobil's most profitable U.S. facility consisting of three offshore platforms and two onshore gas/oil treatment facilities. Rotated through roles as surveillance engineer for all facilities while in assignment gaining gas/oil plant as well as offshore oil facility experience. Served as central point contact for day-to-day Operations engineering support.Key Results:- Shutdown manager – Acted as shutdown manager for two large facility outages, both completed safely, within budget and on schedule. - Project management – Managed several multi-million dollar projects in addition to surveillance role, e.g. offshore flare tip replacement, boat landing repair.

Commissioning lead for installation of three low-BTU fuel General Electric turbine generators. Key Results:- Leadership – Provided leadership and oversight to a cross functional team of ExxonMobil and General Electric resources to successfully start-up three turbine generators ahead of schedule and under budget. Turbines were first of their kind and have been very reliable since start-up.

Machinery engineer for the majority of ExxonMobil's Gulf of Mexico platforms overseeing major machinery maintenance activities. Responsible for day-to-day surveillance activities to optimize machinery throughput and fuel usage. Generated and oversaw execution of multiple high return compressor modifications and new installations while in role. Key Results:- Project Management – Provided machinery specific project management for several large compressor re-stages and new installations.
