I grew up in Briarcliff, NY - voted the most boring town in all of New York for several years running now. From the suburban town of a few thousand, I had the good fortune to change scenery, attending high school in Manhattan, college in Washington D.C., and now a professional career in Miami. All very different locations that have provided equally as varied professional opportunities.When people ask about my past work, I can’t help but chuckle. What do energy, eating, education, and events all have in common? Seemingly nothing, yet at the same time - everything. The pricing models I created at Agera became the basis for the restaurant operating models at ThinkFoodGroup. That very real-world integration of quantitative analysis set the standard for the middle school curriculum of the everyday applications of algebra. And maybe most importantly, if you can motivate a group of moody middle schoolers to learn math, then you can convince any team to execute a successful event. So what am I doing now? What does being a manager in Accounts & Projects even mean? Good question - I ask myself the same one everyday. So far, I’ve worked with Grammy-award winning musicians and Tony-award winning performers. I’ve written some complex contracts and built big budgets, but more than that, I’ve produced some amazing experiences. From multimillion dollar ship christenings in Malta to the world’s most famous development conference in Cupertino, there’s nothing like the look on the audience’s face when the curtain drops. So when asked about what work I want to do in the future, I can’t help but think back to that little town in Briarcliff. Despite being the most boring town, I loved it. When it comes to my work, it doesn’t matter if it’s the most mundane task or the most spectacular event, I want to be a part of what makes ‘it’ - amazing.
