In the Production Technician Role i am responsible for the day to day running of the LNG trains for Chevron on Barrow Island Gorgon Gas Plant.

As a Production Specialist, I am responsible for monitoring and managing on-going workflow to ensure timely delivery. In this role, I prepare isolations for turnaround events for Chevron ABU in an efficient and timely manner. Furthermore, I complete preparation of risk assessments for Chevron ABU isolations accordingly. Also, I collaborate with major maintenance planners to develop and implement work packs whilst working as a subject matter expert for plant equipment. On top of that, I provide development of disturbed flange registers for turnarounds. In addition, I develop an in-depth understanding of the ConocoPhillips Cascade LNG process. Moreover, I analyse production processes and schedules to identify opportunities for improving coordination of production and quality. Besides that, I develop cost-effective production solutions while maintaining high quality and productivity.

As a Rail and Port Controller, I was responsible for efficient and effective coordination of rail and port equipment to accomplish daily scheduled tonnages of Iron Ore in a timely manner. In this role, I completed preparation and implementation of safe working forms for rail maintenance. Additionally, I was in charge of the operation of the Rail Transport System (control system) to regulate the rail network accordingly. Furthermore, I performed plant monitoring and control system operation for the safe and efficient operation of plants and equipment such as stackers, reclaimers, conveyors and screening plants. On top of that, I documented the movement of rail vehicles and maintenance activities on the rail network. Also, I conducted training and mentoring sessions for new employees as needed. Moreover, I identified and provided an improvement of processes and control systems to obtain higher efficiency.

As a Process Plant Controller Specialist, I was responsible for managing and monitoring the operation of the refinery through the Distributed Control System (DCS) and guided team members to make ongoing adjustments to optimise processing conditions. In this role, I analysed both plant conditions and chemistry data and performed laboratory tests to deliver production targets safely and in accordance with customer requirements. Also, I was responsible for isolating equipment and issuing work permits to work safely and efficiently and to ensure that equipment was prepared for maintenance in accordance with SAP requirements. In addition, I performed shut down and start-up of equipment based on maintenance and production requirements. Moreover, I conducted routine inspections of the condition and reliability of plant equipment to provide clear and accurate maintenance notifications in SAP when needed. Also, I provided a regular review of the instructions and procedures for operational work, making safety and technical improvements to minimise task risks and improve the refining process. Additionally, I collaborated with engineering department to minimise nuisance alarms (alarm management) and responded to alarms in an efficient and timely manner and I managed and supervised sampling of process liquors and gases.

In this role, I communicated with product development engineers and quality assurance personnel on a daily basis.
