I was the public face of security for ANZ Public Sector, and represented AWS at multiple public events each year. I was a core leader in the global security community within AWS, which included mentoring and enablement for field teams.In the previous 3 years I led over 200 specially requested expert engagements on behalf of AWS account teams with their clients. This ranged from architectural reviews, recommendations on service selection and configuration, designing and implementing a comprehensive defence-in-depth suite of services, and advising on use of, and compliance with, cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks.I actively led the development of compliance-related service features for Australian clients. This includes AWS Config conformance packs for the Australian ISM and the Essential 8, and the addition of pre-built reporting frameworks for both in AWS Audit Manager.In the past four years I represented AWS at 25 public events as one of their highest-rated public speakers, providing insights and education on a range of information security topics, to thousands of attendees. I became known as the public face of security for the AWS ANZ public sector team.I exceeded key goals for adoption of AWS security services by our public sector clients and unlocked revenue growth from $1m per month in 2021 to $3.7m per month in 2024, a growth rate of 268%.I educated AWS clients about the art of the possible, while challenging the impossible. I was on a first-name conversation basis with most of our product management team for software products worldwide. In EMEA I worked on team projects such as the TRM Handbook and the EMEA Products and Resources Podio app, as well as providing mentoring to fellow TRMs in the region. I provided training to team members on such items as how to use Stellent to create and edit knowledge-base articles. I was one of only a handful of TRMs in the EMEA region to garner an MVP nomination from the sales team in 2013 (for going above and beyond on the Morgan Stanley account).
