Responsible for overseeing all associated work for the fabrication of Above Ground Storage Tanks built to API 620, 625, 650, & 653. Provide the proper oversight as it relates to the safety and environmental requirements of the project. Confirm Contractor compliance with the project welding specifications, procedures, and applicable codes/standards. Visually inspect all fabrication welds to confirm compliance with approved weld acceptance requirements. Confirm that all fabrication welds are radiographed using the proper techniques, that the radiographs are of high quality and interpreted consistently according to the applicable defect acceptance criteria. Witness and approve corner weld testing, diesel testing, vacuum box and PT testing.

• Collaborate with API 653 and CWI Inspectors in constructing above-ground storage tanks in the Oil & Gas Industry, working with welding characteristics of various metals and welding techniques.• Work with generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power and air tools. • Perform elevated work at all heights safely and confidently for extended periods while tied off and wearing the proper PPE.• Work with Inspectors to maintain job safety analysis, safety audits, site-specific training, and other safety training as needed.• Operate forklifts, man lifts, boom lifts, and other large fitting equipment. • Support and manage welding tasks independently or in groups using expertise.• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging, analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans for mechanical systems to understand specifications. • Conduct routine equipment calibration, verification, and function checks.Accomplishments:• Completed all welding projects accurately and meeting all safety measures. • Gained experience working with Inspectors and crew on projects ensuring project timelines are met with accuracy.• Served as a subject matter expert on come-along, hydraulic jacks, hoist, airbags, winches, other lifting equipment, all gas monitors, fresh air kits, respirators, emergency rescue kits, and other safety equipment.• Assisted in the Inspection of welding based on local and state building codes.

• Constructed and assembled mechanical systems and structural forms according to specifications and requirements using welding skills to fuse structural components.• Assisted new welders with meeting welding specifications. • Constructed above-ground storage tanks in the Oil & Gas Industry. • Performed vacuum box tests, oils tests, dye penetrant tests, and other non-destructive quality examinations.• Welded tank structures with 7018, 7024, and 610 stick (SMAW) and submerged arc automatic machines.Accomplishments:• Met all applicable regulatory guidelines throughout 4 years of service.• Recognized for consistently ensuring all safety measures were followed.
