My research is centered around parton showers, more specifically the phenomenon of hadronization. Parton showers occur when an isolated quark showers and breaks into other quarks, gluons and anti-quarks - hadronization is when these partons combine to form hadron particles. The resulting structure would be a graph-like emission process that we aim to research.The process of hadronization cannot be directly measured since it occurs in 10^-22 to 10^-15m and within 10^-24s. However, what we can observe through collider experiments is the resulting types of particles, their energies and distances between them. My research would entail training a graph neural network on different possible graphs where each node represents a different particle, and each edge is the difference in position (using eta-phi coordinates). I will use PyTorch Geometric to train the model and then use that to classify/predict the graph structure that would result from the initial quark and subsequent particles.

As a Teaching Assistant for Program Design and Data Structures, I have developed a strong foundation in Java & C++ programming of data structures. My responsibilities include debugging student code across numerous Java Object-Oriented Programming projects, where I focus on enhancing code reuse and efficiency. Additionally, I grade weekly programming assignments, using both automated testing scripts and manual methods to identify and fix bugs, which has refined my attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

My research consisted of dating back and measuring the presence of coronary artery disease, osteoporosis, and scoliosis. This was first done by preprocessing 1.2 Terabytes of mummy CT scans using Python scripting and data mining through 2.5 million medical images, organizing files into Excel and Pandas DataFrames. Utilising the High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment, ACCRE, on Unix, and employing SSH protocols, I ensured the secure processing of massive datasets. Additionally, I filtered through the CT scans on Horos, meticulously annotating vertebrae and calcium deposits.In addition to my technical contributions, I played a crucial role in communicating our findings. I composed and presented weekly reports to the lab, summarizing our discoveries, addressing roadblocks, and setting timeline expectations. This experience has honed my skills in data analysis, programming, and effective communication.

VandyHacks is a student organisation that hosts an annual hackathon where students from different colleges and backgrounds come to Vanderbilt to compete in a programming competition. My responsibilities including raising traction for different computer science events ranging from workshops to professor-lead Q&As and lessons. I was also tasked with writing and organising a biweekly newsletter that covered recent technological developments and news.

During my Software Engineer Internship I gained hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development. Over the course of two months, I tested, tailored and designed website features according to client requests, such as filter, search, and display buttons. I maintained the website by debugging HTML and Java code, utilizing Eclipse, Oracle, and GitLab software.I programmed company invoices and backend Jasper files using Java and SQL, ensuring functionality and efficiency through thorough testing. Additionally, I navigated through seven different databases on MariaDB and Oracle, retrieving data efficiently with SQL. This internship allowed me to enhance my technical skills and apply them in a real-world setting.
