Researched replacement of existing Oracle RDMS and HP Autonomy IDOL with Storm, Hadoop, Spark and Cassandra, HBase, Hive and Pig. Technical proof of concept components created. The dashboard gave insight into collections, ETL and analytics health for the first time in the history of the program. Assisted with re-architecture, re-design and implementation of legacy application using C# and SQL Server. The resulting user interface simplified and standardized workflows in addition to increased worker productivity. The updated architecture reduced O&M costs by 60%.

Responsibilities included: requirements gathering, technical design and proof of concept development, delivery and support of software for an initial web reporting portal and subsequent portal upgrade to C# / ASP.NET.Designed and implemented a desktop application to standardize purchase order analysis, validation and delivery. The resulting application ensured all workers analyzed, validated and completed work orders the same way. Workflow time was reduced from hours to minutes.

Designed and implemented a suite of internal tools used to convert different data sources (such as Word, Excel, Access) into XML. Designed, implemented and supported several custom applications for customer facing team responsible for converting various data sources into XML.

Enhanced and maintained ETL application using Visual Basic 6 and SQL Server

Worked as part of a large team to help build two enterprise level applications. One application gave a web presence to the company’s loan origination system. The other was used to provide administrative functionality for the web application. Designed and developed the backend transactional components used to handle correspondence in the loan origination cycle. Elicited user requirements, designed, and developed a web based financial reporting application used to track the monetary progress of the loan origination system. Prototyped a web based monitoring tool used to track the progress/status of all back-end processes used by the loan origination system.
