IAG acquired the Wesfarmers Insurance underwriting business in July 2014. My role changed to supporting various migration projects moving to IAG infrastructure. It then became necessary to step up my own knowledge of our infrastructure as our team was shrunk.I had to defend our applications in the larger IAG space against the incumbents. I have been the main knowledge point in several infrastructure upgrades. However, team shrinkage has continued and it is now time to move on.
