After graduating from the University of Mississippi, I began a career of trading, analyzing, and researching various agricultural markets with a particular emphasis in the cotton industry. I spent many years in NYC as a member of the NY Cotton Exchange where I built one of the largest floor brokerage operations there, with transaction volume regularly in the top 3 companies in business. I was involved in executing customer business, staffing my operation, researching the market, trading methodology, and writing a daily newsletter on the market called The Cotton Row Journal. Following a successful period of time there, I came to Memphis to start another side of the research and analysis business to help clients in the industry manage their price risk exposure. I actively created trading strategies using futures and options contracts based on our observations and thoughts on what future price trends would be. Also, I created a daily newsletter for our business, The Cotton Row Journal, that became one of the most widely read daily newsletters in the world for our particular market's information and editorials and price opinions. Using the skills I developed in managing employees, scheduling staff, budgeting, writing, and business trend analysis, I sensed a need in my local market for the quickly growing hospitality and tourism business, particularly in the needs of transportation and parking management for downtown Memphis. I began a new company to serve those needs and have been the driver from the ground up in all aspects, including creating the vision, procuring vehicles, negotiating contracts with hotels, restaurants, nonprofits and corporations, scheduling and managing employees, and handling operations of the business. Growth has been steady around a 10% rate per month for the past four years.
