Previously co-facilitated two groups for heterosexual men with out of control sexual behavior.• Co-facilitate a Sexual Health in Meth Recovery Psychotherapy Group for gay and bisexual men with Christopher Straley, LICSW• Areas of treatment include sexual health and functioning, substance use disorders, chronic mental and physical illness, co-occurring disorders, trauma, and psychiatric disorders. Co-designed and implemented (with Sean Lare, LCSW) the Sexuality and Gender Diversity Learning Community - a behavioral health organizational training to integrate sexual health into routine care and provide affirmative practices to sexual and gender diverse clients.

Designed and implemented the Sexual Health Learning Community (SHLC), Adolescent Behavioral and Sexual Health Training Initiative and the Sexuality & Gender Training Program (SGTP). o The SHLC supported the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene initiative of expanding available, culturally competent, and integrated behavioral health services for populations disproportionally affected by HIV through the provision of technical assistance and training.o The Adolescent Behavioral and Sexual Health Training Initiative supported the Baltimore City Health Department U Choose project goal of reducing teen pregnancies and childbirth in Baltimore City. o The SGTP supported the Baltimore City Health Departments goals of increasing culturally competent care in behavioral health agencies when treating men who have sex with men and transgender clients of color through the provision of technical assistance and training.All projects worked with behavioral health organizations to integrate a sexual health into their policies and procedures, promote universal sexual health screenings and improve staff comfort, knowledge and ability facilitating sexual heath conversations and risk-reduction counseling.

Provided clinical supervision for licensed and pre-licensed psychotherapists, case managers and peer advocates in three HIV programs: Minority AIDS Initiative, Talking About Tina and Integrated Services.

• Aurora Behavioral Hospital is a full service behavioral healthcare facility providing a variety of inpatient, day treatment and outpatient psychiatric and chemical dependency services for the San Diego, Imperial and Southern Riverside County area.• Conducted mobile intake assessments for children, adolescents, adults and seniors experiencing a psychiatric emergency or event in various community facilities, including independent and assisted livings, child and adolescent group homes, psychiatric day treatments, skill nursing facilities, urgent care and emergency rooms and K-12 public and private schools.• LPS designee to determine involuntary hospitalization.• Secured health insurance authorization for the indicated level of care.

• JFS, Integrated Services program provided comprehensive therapeutic services for people diagnosed with HIV (or at high risk for contracting HIV) with co-occurring substance use problems and mental illness.• Provided individual and group psychotherapy helping men and women manage their health and recovery.

• The Center, Health Services provides mental health services primarily to people who are HIV infected or impacted and secondarily to people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered identified.• Served as Staff Counselor. Responsibilities included providing individual, group and couples counseling, secondary supervision and training of Health Services interns, diagnostic assessment and treatment planning, facilitating the 24/7 Heidorn Crisis Hotline, and coordinating intern training and outreach opportunities.• Served as Crisis & Referral Coordinator. Duties included telephone and walk-in crisis interventions, psychosocial assessments, scheduling intakes, providing referrals to community resources, and maintaining and updating referral information, including The Center’s exclusive list of screened, gay-affirming private practitioners.
