Head Quarters Department of the Army (HQDA) has transformed how Soldiers will transition from Military Service to the Civilian sector. This transformation will give separating Soldiers the greatest opportunity for a successful post-service career. A Soldier is eligible for transition assistance services after completing 180 continuous days or more of active duty under Title 10, United States. Army uses Soldier for Life Transition Assistance Program (SFL-TAP) and unit Focal Point Advisors to ensure transitioning Soldiers are prepared for employment, education, and other post-service opportunities and benefits. Focal Point Advisors are responsible for identifying and tracking Soldier’s transition progress readiness NLT 180 days from ETS or separation.As a Transition Career Skill Specialist Blue print and Prescreen Soldiers from a Human Resource / Recruiting perspective to Assist Soldier to Transition into employment rather the Unemployment line, provide information about the Career Skill Programs, and help with vetting requirements- application process until all requirements are met. Programs Such as Ryder Diesel Technician, United Veterans in Piping (UAVIP), Fanuc Robotics, and Troops Into Transportation.

The Lawton Fort Sill Co-Op is a program Operated by the Lawton Fort sill Chamber of Commerce and Fort Sill Family Morale, Welfare and Recreation. The Program was established in 1980 for the purpose of encouraging and fostering a spirit of friendship, mutual cooperation and understanding between military personnel and civilians in the Lawton Fort Sill region. Co-Op participants work together on community service projects and participate in sporting and social events in Fort Sill as well as in Lawton.

Served as principal advisor to the CEO on the training status, availability, and welfare of 153 personnel and 14 South Korean augmentees; provided weekly verbal and written reports that enhanced planning and decision making for the C-Level leadership that led to achieving a 95% readiness rate organization-wide

Develop recruitment plans, managing programs, and making presentations. Conduct Interviews and counsel prospective enlistees. Discuss individual aims and goals to include security, personal aptitudes, training opportunities, job satisfaction and stability, advancement, prestige, and military life. Explains Army benefits including: medical care, dependent allowance, housing, reenlistment bonus, retirement program, military/civilian educational opportunities, travel, recreational benefits, and all similar programs. Evaluates applicants’ occupational, educational, and psychological background to determine Army programs with specific individual appeal. Explains occupational and organizational structure of the Army to applicants, parents, and interested groups of individuals work directly with potential soldiers.
