Jewc Electromagnetic Opposing Force (Em Opfor) Operator
As an EM OPFOR technician, replicated a coherent, realistic EM environment (EME) capable of mirroring adversary and civilian infrastructure in order to train and enhance EM capabilities, processes, and TTP proficiency across the Department of Defense (DOD) and USG, and produce comprehensive after-action reports (AAR) from the findings of these activities/assessments. Designed, implemented, and operated adversary command, control, communications and computer (C4) architectures in support of customer requirements. Additionally, operated Electronic Warfare Support (ES)/Electronic Attack (EA)/Radio Frequency Direction Finding (RFDF) equipment in order to prosecute US forces and assess potential US vulnerabilities.
Cyber Intrusion Analyst
Conducted network monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using the AF's selected intrusion detection tools and activities related to AFNOC NSD mission execution. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) developed techniques and tactics to conduct in-depth traffic analysis of network traffic reported to ArcSight by AFNet Inc 1 Gateway security devices. Reviewed ArcSight feeds to identify related events not found by the rule sets or correlation rules. Made configuration changes within ArcSight by creating and modifying rules, filters, dashboards, etc. Created and updated cases on unauthorized network activity meeting established suspicious event thresholds and performed immediate response actions. Constructed and executed SQL queries against the AFCERT reporting (CDS) and analysis databases (CIDDS) to extract data necessary for analysis and reporting. Performed advanced analysis on potential intrusions providing the Incident Response Team with additional information about suspicious events. Reviewed AFCERT mission procedures for efficiency and made recommendations to improve effectiveness.
