My demolition career started in 2000 as a junior site engineer for McGee Group on Westminster Treasury Structural Refurbishment project for Bovis Lendlease. Between 2000-2010 I progressed from Site Engineer to Senior Project Engineer and then Project Manager of Demolition and Ground Works up to 2014. I managed major ground-works, façade supports, full demolition of city buildings and technical temporary works schemes including basement propping systems up to 18m deep and various façade support systems including Lothbury and the Old Middlesex Hospital. In 2014 I joined John F Hunts Ltd where I enjoyed a serious leap into a more management focussed environment, where I started Project Managing demolition projects in London. I have been very fortunate to be able to use my engineering experience to create innovative demolition methods which benefit the follow on ground works packages and enjoy major involvement with Engineering Firms such as Watermans and Pell Frischmann to ensure the sub-structure design works both around our temporary works and future new construction. I enjoy demolition, engineering and ground works, and have no intention of packing it in anytime soon.
