Directed the operational "arm" of US Fleet Forces. Ensured effective planning, training, execution and support of Navy's role in Maritime Homeland Defense (MHD) and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA). As Director of Maritime Operations Center (MOC) Staff, responsible for 100+ personnel in the indoctrination and implementation of the MOC construct, resulted in unprecedented mission success and efficiency. Flew the F-14 (all models) for 18 years, accumulated 3300 hours and over 900 arrested landings. Continued flight career by transitioning to F/A-18F Super Hornet as Commanding Officer of VFA-211. Accumulated 500 hours and 76 arrested landings.

Flew all models of F-14 Tomcat accumulating over 3,000 hours. Transitioned and flew F/A-18F accumulating 500 hours. FRS instructor, TOPGUN graduate & instructor and Fighter Squadron Commanding Officer.

Managed 700 person Air Department on board nuclear aircraft carrier. As "Air Boss" planned, negotiated and executed extensive mid-life overhaul of naval vessel. Developed numerous initiatives and programs that resulted in contract savings of $5.4 M. Developed comprehensive individual training plan that ensured operational capability upon return to service. Qualified in all aspects of air control and safety of multiple aviation platforms performing complex operations at sea. Completed in-depth training on aviation launch and recovery (ALRE) support equipment

Led 275 manned strike/fighter squadron in effective execution of training, leading up to successful combat deployments in support of National Security interests and the Global War on Terror (GWOT). Successfully transitioned squadron from F-14A Tomcat to F/A-18F Super Hornet completing entire training program culminating with deployment.

Directed the organization and development of numerous Joint Task Forces (JTF) for five Combatant Commander on four continents. Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Information Management and Forming of JTF.

As Operations Officer managed the day to day events for entire squadron, administered the flight hour program, oversaw and approved training, NATOPS, and Safety programs.
