Michael has been practicing law since 1996. He is currently with Lawson & Weitzen in Boston. Michael came to Lawson & Weitzen with a background in complex litigation, including class actions, and is an experienced appellate attorney. He has appeared at all levels of both the state and federal court systems. After practicing law for only eight years, Michael was named Lawyer of the Year for 2004 by MASSACHUSETTS LAWYERS WEEKLY and has been honored in BOSTON MAGAZINE’s “Super Lawyer” edition as a “Rising Star of the Massachusetts legal community” in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Only 2.5 percent of Massachusetts attorneys who are under age 40 or who have practiced for less then 10 years are named Rising Stars. Michael is a co-founder of a nonprofit law firm dedicated to Civil Rights litigation and has participated as a panel member examining equal rights issues in public education for an advisory committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Michael is also the Treasurer and member of the Board of Trustees for the Tuerck Foundation, a Boston based think tank and a member of the Board of Directors for the Norwich University Alumni Association.Michael works in the litigation section of Lawson & Weitzen, where his practice includes: professional malpractice defense, business litigation, employment law, election and campaign law, intellectual property and liquor licensing and administrative law.
