I served in the Marine Corps from 2010 to 2014. My M.O.S in the Marine Corps was Supply Administration and Operations Clerk. I worked with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as using a proprietary supply management system with ORACLE to track, manage, update and input requisitions for Requesting Units. I communicated with them as well as the vendor to ensure timely delivery and update on order statuses. After leaving the Marine Corps, I started working at Sunsweet Growers Inc., where I started as a Sorter, Production Worker and Utility worker. I then moved up to work as a Sanitation worker for almost 3 years where I learned how to work in a tight knit team at a fast pace cleaning the production plant. I also moved up to become a Filler-Seamer Operator. There I learned to operate machinery in a production setting. I also learned how to do general maintenance and adjustments on the machines. I was also required to maintain paperwork that tracks quality control throughout the production shift. While working as a Filler-Seamer Operator my team earned Pepsi Co-Pack of the Year. While working in the Marine Corps and at Sunsweet, I learned how to train newcomers in proper procedures and daily routines and ensuring that they are working to the company's standards. I also got a strong skill for communication and decision making and working on the fly.
