Michael Williams is the Market President for Davidson and Williamson County with Volunteer State Bank. Michael is a native of Columbia, TN and spent four years playing soccer as a student athlete at Maryville College earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Organization Management. He has continued to learn along the way graduating from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and attending the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, NC. Michael began his banking career in late 2002 in retail banking working from teller to branch manager. In 2006, he was given the opportunity to move into a commercial banking role with Reliant Bank. This is when the importance of relationship banking began to really take hold. Michael continues to use relationship building as the center of client and team building in his role. He now looks for ways to continue to expand the name and network of Volunteer State Bank in Middle Tennessee. He is committed to the community having served or currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Tennessee, Interfaith Dental Clinic, and Leadership Brentwood.Now a Market President for Volunteer State Bank supporting a team of bankers in Williamson County.
